Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Instant noodles, has pledged N20m towards ‘Save Our Art! Save Our Heritage!’, a campaign designed to safeguard the artistic treasures of Osun-Osogbo Grove.

The Osun-Osogbo Grove is one of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation World Heritage Sites in Nigeria where tourists and art lovers visit to see monumental sculptures created by the renowned artist, Susanne Wenger, in collaboration with some artists in Osogbo, like Adebisi Akanji, Rabiu Abesu, Kasali Akangbe-Ogun and others.

Presenting the cheque of N4m, being the first tranche, to the representatives of Susanne Wenger Adunni Olorisha Trust (AOT) on behalf of Dufil Prima Foods Plc, the Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, said the donation was one of the brand’s ways of promoting and protecting the cultural heritage and traditions in Nigeria.

A statement by the company on Friday also said the funds would be disbursed over a period of five years.

“Identifying and supporting such a significant legacy as Osun-Osogbo Grove will further help position Dufil as a global and socially responsible brand.”
