A suspected lesbian has allegedly stabbed her partner’s husband to death in Onitsha, Anambra State, Vanguard Newspaper reports.
The deceased identified as Ikechukwu Onuma popularly known as Ayaaya Onye-Obodo, was killed by one Ebele Onochie, who was caught by Onuma making love to his wife when he returned home unannounced.
Details of the incident were still sketchy, although the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Ikenga Tochukwu, who confirmed the incident said the suspect is already in custody.
According to him, the state Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng has directed that the matter be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department
“We have a suspect in custody and the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng has ordered immediate transfer of the case to State CID for a proper investigation.”
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect stabbed the victim on the chest. He was rushed to the hospital before he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.”
“What led to the suspect’s action has not been ascertained as investigation has just begun”, he said.
Meanwhile, the remains of Ikechukwu Onuma have been deposited in the mortuary.
