VICTOR ONYEME: POLICE ARREST IMO UNDERGRADUATE FOR CULTISM, RECOVERS GUN FROM HIM

The police in Imo State have arrested an undergraduate of Imo State University, Victor Onyeme, 20, for alleged involvement in cultism.

The IMSU Mechanical Engineering undergraduate was arrested by the operatives of the Shell Camp Division of command in Owerri.

The Police Spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, said that a locally-made pistol and two live ammunition were recovered from the suspect.

Ikeokwu said, On May 9, while on crime prevention and intensive patrol, operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Shell Camp, Owerri, intercepted one Onyeme Victor, 20, a native of Umuguma, Owerri West LGA.

“He is studying Mechanical Engineering at Imo State University. Upon physical search on him, a locally-made pistol and two live ammunition were recovered.”

“He confessed to being the owner and stated that he uses it for his personal protection. Investigation is ongoing.”
