Police operatives attached to Festac Division, Lagos state on April 3, about 3pm, arrested one Jonas Nnubia (43) for defiling his wife’s niece at 1st Avenue, L Close, Festac, Lagos, The Nation Newspaper reports.
“The victim, who was taken to the police station in company of officials of the Child Protection Network (CPN), said the suspect had been having carnal knowledge of her before now and warned her against telling anyone else she dies.”
“The victim has been taken to the hospital for necessary medical examination and attention in to help the police carry out a discreet investigation.”
“The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has directed that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for proper investigation and possible prosecution.”
