COUPLE ARRESTED FOR SELLING 3-DAY OLD BABY FOR N300,000
The Anambra state police command on Saturday announced the arrest of husband and wife, Mr Chinonso Anyanwu and his wife Mrs Uluebube Anyanwu who unanimously sold their 3days old baby boy for three hundred thousand naira.
According to the command PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed in a statement said on the 30/4/2019 at about 2:pm following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to Area Command Ihiala arrested couple Mr Chinonso Anyanwu ‘m’ aged 32 years and his wife Mrs Oluebube Anyawu ‘f’ aged 20 years of lbiasiegbe village, Imo State for child selling.
He said the suspects conspired and sold their biological Son a baby boy of 3days old at a rate of three hundred thousand to one Sandra Odimege ‘f’ of Umuezike, Amorka in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
And that the three suspects have been arrested and the baby recovered in good condition.
Meanwhile, the case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
