A three-year old baby has been stolen by unknown persons in Umunede, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Our correspondent learnt that the parents had left home on Friday, leaving the baby on the watch of the elder brother. But when parents came back, they discovered that the boy was not at home.
The father of the victim, Mr. Okeh Phillip, who reported the matter to the Police, said one Ifeanyi Ozukwu sent his older son, Sunday, on an errand while he (the dad) was away for work in Asaba.
He said when Sunday came back from the errand, the three-year old boy was nowhere to be found.Confirming the report on Sunday, Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, said that the three-year old baby was missing, but one of the suspects had been arrested, while efforts were being made to rescue the baby unhurt, adding that Police were already investigating the matter.
