Take control of tomorrow, Aregbesola’s wife tells children

The wife of Osun State governor, Mrs Sherifat Aregbesola has charged the children in the state to face their studies and excel in their education so as to take full control of the future and be successful in life. The First Lady gave the advice during the 2017 end of the year party which she organised for the children in the state held at the Government House in Osogbo, the state capital.

During the event which was attended by the Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, the Deputy Governor, Mrs Grace Titilayo Laoye Tomori and top personalities in the state, the first lady danced and played with the children. She also feted and showered the kids with gifts.

The governor’s wife also urged the children to be patriotic and imbibe the attitude of Omoluabi and shun every form of behaviour that could deter them from being responsible citizens.

“We started this ceremony in 2010. We started with prayers to Almighty God to give us the grace, the blessings and support to ensure a completion of the circle. Today is the last of the eight of such ceremonies that is allowed for the current administration in this state. There is no praise big enough to give to God.

“To our children, I congratulate you for another end-of-year ceremony and I urge you to continue to improve on your education. The world of our immediate future belongs to those who are educated. This is the reason why the present administration has been working very hard to get us properly prepared for the challenges.

“Let us face our studies. If you must take control of tomorrow, education is the key to doing that. Ignorance will be too costly. I have no doubt that you will make us proud. We should shun every form of behavior which will deter us from being responsible citizens,” she said.
