DAIRU ABDULLAHI: ONDO NSCDC ARRESTS KIDNAPPER AFTER COLLECTING N6.2M RANSOM

Operatives of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested notorious kidnapper, Dairu Abdullahi, at Eti Ose River Forest, after a gun duel.

According to The Nation, Dairu and his gang have collected N6.2m ransom from their recent victim before he was arrested.

The NSCDC operatives stormed the forest in response to a distress call from Eti Ose in Owo Local government about the activities of kidnappers.

Also arrested inside the forest was one Uyobon Jim who served as informant to the kidnappers as well as engaged in the cultivation of marijuana.

A spokesman for the Ondo NSCDC, DSC Aidamenbor Daniel, said another three suspected kidnappers were arrested at Abusoro camp, Ipele forest Reserve, Owo LGA while attempting to kidnap their victim.

He gave the names of the suspects as Isiaku Jubril aged 37, Nura Idris aged 30 and Mohammed Sulieman aged 50.

Items recovered from the suspects include two locally made guns, three cutlasses, four mobile phones, and one NYSC uniform.

He said the suspects would be prosecuted after investigations have been concluded while the narcotic suspect would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
